OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR HIDING FROM COMFORT.
“This is all I have been working on, This is the best I can do right now.” Mitchell Rawlins.
Now we are getting somewhere. Whatever it takes to get the shot. I’m never doing this again. I’m over it. This better work. Are you kidding me. Are you serious. I’m never doing this again. That was all time. F##king clouds piss off. No rest for the wicked. There was plenty of this kind of talk while making “Hiding From Comfort”. Now it all seems worth it & we are nearing the end of filming and getting ready to release the film in the coming months.
What everyone is saying about the film:
“From the opening scene it’s clear, Mitch and his team have set a new benchmark for all to aspire to with Hiding from Comfort. Good Luck getting anywhere close”. Phil Gallagher, Le Boogie magazine
“What do you get when you combine a constant keenness for creativity, a penchant for perfection and one of the best bodyboarders to ever slide the foam? A film that may just surpass all your conceivable expectations of what’s possible on a bodyboard. From what I’ve seen so far, Hiding From Comfort is set to be not only a film that you’ll want to watch over and over, but a true representation of where bodyboarding’s at in 2010. Rocky’s got all the angles covered, from unrivalled HD and film footage, to next level wave riding and mind-blowing board cam clips. He’s one hard working young man, so prepare to be blown away people”. Nick Lawrence, longest serving Riptide editor.
“Not only will this be the most amazing film for the sport, It’s focused on the worlds most talented bodyboarder. Straight to the top shelf! ” – Kiryn Clay, IBA Australasia.
“This is Mitch and his surfing the way he sees it and I think it takes it up a notch or two from what’s be done in the past”. James Wise, Filmer
” When I heard Mitch’s plans for this project I thought he was kidding himself then over the past few years the ideas have become reality & the end result is a film that will hopefully change the way people see bodyboarding.” Tom Hannam, filmer/editor
“Hot damn! Just when you thought the anticipation for Mitch’s vid couldn’t get any more feverish, he releases this trailer for Hiding From Comfort and sends us into an absolute frenzy. Amazing work Mitch, congrats!” Tim Leeson, Riptide Editor
“It’s inspiring to see Rocky put his heart, soul and wallet into really showcasing this thing that we all do. I’m amped.” Pete Moore, Editor Movement Magazine.

Hawaii 2010 vol. lll
Friday, March 12th, 2010
Here is hawaii 2010 vol.lll and as you have already probably noticed Ben Player absolutely killed it this year as he does every year. Tommy Smith showing his smooth riding however don’t let him show you his tan lines there not meant to be on a man’s body so I will leave that to rest now. There is the tidal wave warning on there but don’t worry we knew we had enough time to retreat to the hills if it hit luckily it didn’t hit with any real damaging force. Anyway ENJOY.

The waves have been few and far between but with all the top guys in town getting ready for the pipeline contest the waves don’t have to be perfect to get some great clips. Here’s a quick look at what has gone down over the last week. Check back in a few days for volume 2. ENJOY
Waikiki Session
Thursday, February 18th, 2010
I set my alarm for 5.30am today to hit the waves for an early but I was greeted by 30 knot onshores and 8ft plus surf so not the most inviting conditions even for the wicked. So we headed to Waikiki beach the birth place of surfing for some longboarding on these gentle little rollers that seem to go forever it was to much fun. If you ever get the chance I really recommend giving it go.

Dazed in Indo
Thursday, February 4th, 2010
Towards the end of last year we saw a swell heading up towards Indonesia so Brad, Chad, Jake, Mitch, Maxted & myself decided to head up there for a few days to escape the cold waters of WA & hopefully get some good waves, photos & footage for future projects.
The wave we were hoping to score had a stand up competition on at the time but was due to finish on the 2nd day of our trip so we were hoping for a few good days after the competition had finished. For some reason the competition ended up going on for a few days past the expected finish date & we were forced to make do with what was available.
In the end waves were had, bannana pancakes were eaten & a few sly bintangs were consumed.
The footage didn’t make the cut for the project so here is a video for you to enjoy.

Saturday, January 30th, 2010
A lot of stuff happened today. Brad Hughes came down for a day trip with Chris White filming for his new movie Grow Up. Brad and I saw a shark close up which was kinda cool to see.Tommy Hannam saw tooo much sun and started hallucinating, bumped into I.B.A world tour competitor and shredder Amaury Lavernhe and then had dinner with the Creatures of Leisure crew.

Couple of little inverts and a nice sunset to really wind the day down.
