Here is hawaii 2010 vol.lll and as you have already probably noticed Ben Player absolutely killed it this year as he does every year. Tommy Smith showing his smooth riding however don’t let him show you his tan lines there not meant to be on a man’s body so I will leave that to rest now. There is the tidal wave warning on there but don’t worry we knew we had enough time to retreat to the hills if it hit luckily it didn’t hit with any real damaging force. Anyway ENJOY.

Burning Film II

This is another film burn short clip, basically I am editing up these clips for one its fun learning how to use final cut pro and secondly this footage would of otherwise never be seen by anyone but myself and a few others as it has not made the cut for the main feature film James Wise, Tom Hannam and myself have been working on so what better way to burn through footage then give it some life on the website. How fun is backwash it has to be one of the funnest and most hilarious times you can have on a bodyboard. I remember Jono bruce and I used to travel 45 minutes on a bus to go and surf backwash when I new the sand was just right for two waves to meet up and explode together we would spend hours practising backflips, inverts ,reverse airs, running man in the air, frontflips and anything that would make us laugh as well as entertaining the tourist who would find it just plain amusing, it was all time. This year i am going to get right back into it.

I am excited to put this movie up as it is my first attempt at giving editing a go. The footage is quite old however, there is some cool shots in there that James Wise and I have collected from our travels and learning how to use film camera’s at the same time. so the results have varied in quality but like all venture’s worth achieving you have to be persistent and learn the tricks of the trade just like James has achieved with his filming now and as you will see with our upcoming film to be released this year with great results and what i am aiming to learn a new skill in editing..
Concentrating from Sydney to Hawaii on my first editing attempt. Hope you enjoy & let me know what you think of it! Mitch!
